New Years Resolution Jump start!

So in 2013 I am pledging to get back in shape, I used to run a whole lot and enjoy every second of counting calories and working out! I did the super awesome thing and joined a gym and pulled all of my work out clothes out of the closet! Heres what I wore today/ listened to at the gym! Later I will post my entire workout play list, its epic yall I promise!

Workout OOTD 12/17

The other thing that I find helps me stay on track is a couple applications on my handy dandy iPhone.
My Fitness Pal is my go-to app because of how user friendly it really is. It keeps track of your calories by using a food diary and it also has an exercise component on it which lets you keep track of your gym time! It also links in perfectly with my other favorite fitness app! If you want to find me on this my name is : yourjacqueline
Endomondo is a fun app that you just bring alone with you on your run! It keeps track of how many calories you burn and your distance and your time. Its a runners best friend! All you need is to bring your Iphone with you and it will track your run with GPS!

Work Christmas Party

So I work at a Brewery, like a place that makes beer. And tonight is the annual Christmas party, and contrary to anyone's idea of what a Brewery Christmas Party would be like, mine is at a 5 star restaurant in town that just happens to sell our beer. So I will be a busy little elf today trying to get ready and bake a little something for tonight! So after hours and hours of searching pinterest I have decided to use A Spicy Perspective's recipe for Mexican Mocha Crinkle Cookies!

Recipe: Mexican Mocha Crinkle Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 Tb. instant coffee granules (not coffee grounds)
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tb. vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Using an electric mixer, beat the cocoa powder, sugar, oil, instant coffee granules, cinnamon, cayenne, baking powder, and salt together until well combined.
  2. Beat in the vanilla and eggs, then scrape the bowl. Slowly add in the flour. The dough will look like brownie batter. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm enough to roll by hand.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  4. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls, then place each ball in a bowl of powdered sugar and coat thoroughly, before placing on a baking sheet. Space the ball at least 3 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool completely on the baking sheets before moving.
Preparation time: 30 minute(s) + 2 hour(s) chill time Cooking time: 10 minute(s)
Number of servings (yield): 4 dozen

So I am terribly excited about that! I love baking it is seriously one of my passions! Last night I freaked out and had no idea what on earth I was going to wear to this event so I rushed like I always do to Jcrew!

Im pairing this dress with my Red sequin Cardigan from last year and a pair of dark forest green flats! I am so terribly excited to have this dress! I have been staring at it for probably 2 months trying to up the nerve to just bite the bullet and get it! Merry Christmas to me!

I hope yall's day is just as merry and bright!

Snow and I's Day off!

Today Daniel had to go into work some overtime. So Snow and I were left to our own devises... Scary right?! Well with no man at home to tell me "Honey we can do that later." I decided to finish decorating our house for Christmas!  We had started a little but it really wasnt the same until ALL of the ornaments were up on the tree! I also went ahead and set up his mother's Nativity that she gave us to remind us of the reason for the season!

I then decided I should probably stop messing round and do this British Lit exam that was due by the end of the day. I am really bad at procrastinating school work and I have no idea why!  I love everything bout classes and learning new things I'm just horrible about telling myself I will do that paper later. Oh well C'est la vie. Its done now! It took 7 pages worth of essay but its done! No more school until next January! Only one semester away from graduating and getting into the real world!

After wrecking my brain for four hours on that silly exam I decided to spoil myself with a little present from VS! Its not much but I really just needed some retail therapy! My momma always says that's the best type!

Well I am off to dinner at Daniel's parents house! I hope yall had a wonderful Sunday!
